Why Black River Resin

Built to hold up. Backed 20 years to life.

Here is what we do differently and why it matters.

  1. We don't rush the cure.

Some shops use accelerants to finish faster. We let the coating cure the way it's supposed to. The bond is stronger and the floor holds up.

  2. Polyaspartic, not epoxy.

Polyaspartic won't yellow in the sun, resists chemicals, and wears better than epoxy. Epoxy chips, yellows, and wears down over time. This doesn't.

  3. Moisture barrier under every floor.

Concrete holds moisture and pushes it back up. Most failures start there. We put down a moisture barrier before any coating, which is why we can back the floor for 20 years to life.

  4. Veteran-owned. Tight prep.

We grind, repair, and prep the slab the right way. The coating is only as good as what's under it.

How it works

Five steps. No shortcuts.

Here's the short version of how a flake floor goes down. Full step-by-step is on the services page.

  1. Step 1: Grind

Grind the concrete clean so the coating has something to grip.

  2. Step 2: Repair

Fill cracks and pits so the base is solid.

  3. Step 3: Moisture barrier

Block vapor coming up through the slab. This is the step most shops skip.

  4. Step 4: Basecoat and flake

Roll the polyaspartic basecoat and broadcast the flake into the wet coat until it's covered.

  5. Step 5: Topcoat

Scrape, vacuum, and seal it with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat.

Make it yours

Logos and custom designs, sealed into the floor.

We can set your logo, a custom design, or color pattern into the floor and seal it under the clear coat. Good for businesses, showrooms, and garages. It becomes part of the floor and won't wear off.

The guarantee

The Black River Resin guarantee

Your floor won't peel, bubble, or delaminate.

We back that for 20 years to life, depending on the system you choose.

FAQs

Straight answers to the questions we get most.

Have a question we didn't cover? Send it with your estimate request.

How long does an install take?
Most residential garages are a one-day install. Larger floors, patios, driveways, and commercial jobs take longer depending on size and prep. We give you a real timeline with your estimate.
How long does the floor last?
Decades. We back our floors for 20 years to life depending on the system you choose. The moisture barrier under every floor is why we can stand behind them that long.
Polyaspartic vs epoxy. What is the difference?
Polyaspartic won't yellow in the sun, resists chemicals, and wears better than epoxy. Epoxy yellows, chips, and wears down over time. Polyaspartic doesn't. It costs more, and it lasts a lot longer.
When can I park on it or use the space?
You can usually walk on the floor the next day and drive on it after 24 to 48 hours, depending on the system and the weather. We give you the exact timing for your job before we start.
Do you do commercial and new construction?
Yes. Residential, commercial, new builds, and new patios. If it's concrete, we can coat it.
What areas do you serve?
The West Valley of Arizona. Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, Goodyear, Buckeye, and the surrounding area.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. No charge, no pressure. Tell us about your space and we'll get you a number.
